GKS (Global Korea Scholarship) Program is a scholarship programme that is funded by the Government of the Republic of Korea for foreign nationals in the Republic of Korea and the Ministry of Education. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide international students with opportunities to conduct advanced studies in undergraduate & graduate programs at higher educational institutions in the Republic of Korea in order to foster international exchanges in education and mutual friendship between countries. The Korean Government in her commitment to promote and support education is thus providing the Korean Government Scholarship for Bachelors, Masters & PhD for Developing Countries.

Eligibility Criteria For The Korean Government Scholarships For International Students
To be considered for the Korean Government Scholarship, an applicant must fulfil the following criteria:
Should be below 40 years of age for graduates.
Selection Format Of The Korean Government Scholarships For International Students
Candidates are awarded the Korean Government Scholarships through a test known as TOPIK ( Test of proficiency in Korean)
The TOPIK is for non-natives whose first language is not Korean. It is a Korean language test offered six times annually (in Jan, Mar, Apr, Jul, Oct, Nov) to foreigners in Korea and twice annually (Apr, Oct) to people studying Korean in other countries. This test is grouped into two levels, TOPIK I & TOPIK II. TOPIK I is divided into two levels while TOPIK II is divided into four levels from 3-6. The two levels of TOPIK I are Reading and Listening, while the levels of TOPIK II are Reading, Listening and Writing.

Two Recommendation Letters from two different recommenders (Form 5)
Proficiency in Korea: TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean)
Proficiency in English: TOEFL, TOEIC, or IELTS Academic (TOEFL ITPs are not acceptable)

Graduate: February 2018 to March 2018
Undergraduate: September 2018 to October 2018 (To open in September 2018)
