UWE Bristol Millennium Development Scholarship + Internship for International Students

The University Of West England, Bristol awards the Millennium Development scholarship to an academically exceptional international student to study for an academic session. The International students offered the scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Office or other departments, and will also be required to go through the ambassadorial activity for the University pending the time his course of study will run.

 

Eligibility Criteria For The UWE Bristol Millennium Development Scholarship

To be considered worthy to benefit from the UWE Bristol Millennium, the following criteria must be met:

1. Applicant must have attained an equal of the British 1st in an undergraduate degree.
2. Applicant must hold an unconditional offer or a conditional offer where IELTS or virtually equal English language is the only condition.
3. Must be a fresh student at the University Of West England, Bristol with no past UK study.
4. Must be classed as overseas for fees purposes.
5. Should not be a sponsored student or in receipt of another scholarship/award.
6. Must be able to submit official transcripts at the time of application.

 

How Candidates Are Selected For The University Of West England, Bristol

The International office examines a candidate’s application and informs them via email if their application fulfils or does not fulfil the above-listed criteria.

Having selected applications that fulfil the criteria, the selection committee sends them to the scholarship board for final evaluation.

The scholarship board assesses successful applications on the basis of the answers provided to the scholarship task questions sent to applicants through their UWE Welcome website.

 

The scholarship board scouts for the very academically exceptional achievers who have provided a detailed and coherent answer to the questions asked.

 

Therefore, to increase your chances of being awarded the University Of the West England Scholarships, it is pertinent you do the following:

1. Your application should mirror your dexterity and incentive, how you look forward to using your experiences garnered and the knowledge from studying any course at the university.
2. The selection committee is interested in an applicant’s professional experiences,  career aspirations and how committed applicants are to contributing to society, their country and the university succeeding this course. To stand at a vantage position of being awarded the UWE Scholarship, you should be particular about sharing worthwhile experiences or creating them. Also, you should be an active participant in the growth of the community, as the UWE scouts for candidates who are passionate about community services.
3. Ensure you keep abreast with all tidbits of the scholarship information.
4. Develop a well-represented essay that reflects enthusiasm and passion for being awarded the scholarship.

The deadline for submission is no later than 5 pm GMT on 17 July of every year.
